Lotus 79 / JPS Mk.IV by Factory T'z
This is an out of production resin kit made by Factory T'z/Japan.
This kit builds into a curbside version of the World Championship winning Lotus 79 including only the intake trumpets of the Cosworth engine.
It has the usual amount of metal parts (suspension...) and some resin parts.
I must admit I was a bit surprised about the quality of this kit. It is dated back from 1995 and for that age the resin is very crisp and sharp. I see absolute no air bubbles in the resin body. Also the white metal parts are well detailed, though there's no PE sheet...
But the best is: The decals are designed by UMi, which is clearly a plus. And they are in excellent condition, without any yellowing!Decals are provided for Mario Andretti and Ronnie Peterson and also for J.P.Jarier, who replaced Ronnie after the sad Monza weekend for the last couple of races in 1978. All decals are in both "creamy" and "gold" colors, the first probably the historic correct ones...
The weak side of the kit are in my opinion the resin cast tires, which seem to be a copy of a 70's Tamiya kit tires, probably from the Lotus 78.
